Apasara Awards
An award that is truly one of a kind, the Apsara Film & Television Producers Guild Awards is the most respected of all film awards. The FPGIA is a prestigious award given by the film fraternity to the film fraternity. Akin to the Oscars, the Award has acquired a distinguished place of its own. The first Apsara Awards ceremony held on 29th May 2004 was a complete success. The response was tremendous - what with the colourful presence of artists and performers from all over the world.

Featuring International and Indian performances, the ceremony was preceded by a walk down the red carpet. Celebrated actor Farooq Sheikh compared while the lissome Ms. Shruti Sharma was his co-host for the evening. The star-studded audience was treated to performances by the likes of Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, renowned pianist Brian Selias, Daksha Sheth`s ensemble, the Punjabi Dance Troupe, Acrobats from South Africa and DJ Aqueel enthralled the audience through the evening.
