The Indian hindi film industry is a very renowned industry all around the world and hence this industry has conceptionalised various boards and associations for the smooth working of the hindi film fraternity all around the world.
The various luminaries of this filmy fraternity have come together and have slowly and steadily worked for the betterment of this industry, by organising the various associations. By setting up such organisations, they have actively supported for the cause of this industry, along with providing various benefits for the active people in this industry.
All the organisations are formed at the national level and by doing the same, all the activities are carried out at a national level. Some of the organisations that are associated with the film circuit are as follows:
FTII: The Film & Television Institute of India association has been associated for training in film making and television programme production. Today the FTII is considered as a Center of Excellence not only in India but also in Asia and Europe .
CBFC: This Central Board of Film Certification is formed in order to censor the films, before they are subjected to public viewing. THis board is responsible for the types of films that are screened in the cinema halls today.
NFDC: This National Film Development Corporation is the central agency established to plan, promote and organize an integrated and efficient development of the Indian film industry and foster excellence in cinema. The NFDC has so far produced over 300 films in various Indian languages, and some of them have also won many national and international awards.
NCYP: The association of the National Centre of Films for Children and Young People, is formed with the aim of harnessing the medium of films to provide healthy entertainment to the children and young people,rather than the commercial cinema which is said to cause adverse impact on children.
NFAI: The mission of the National Film Archive of India is to safeguard the heritage of Indian Cinema and form a healthy film culture in the country. It also familarizes the foreign audiences with Indian Cinema.
FTPGI: The objective of the Film & Television Producers Guid of India is to promote, aid, help, encourage and develop the Indian Film and Motion Picture Industry in general and to improve and raise the quality and standard of the films and motion pictures produced in India.
